In 2019, we’re proud to open a state-of-the-art new building on our campus, the Borland-Manske Center. A three-story music wing marks the building as one of the premium music learning centers in Southern California and demonstrates Concordia’s commitment to music education and performance. The building will feature over 50 rooms, including orchestral and choral rehearsal halls and a recording suite designed by John Storyk, one of the world’s eminent studio designers.
As a Lutheran Christian university, our tradition fosters an environment of inclusiveness for all students. Our supportive faculty demonstrate care for students as individuals – not just their performance – as they cultivate lifelong mentoring relationships. As one of our alumni said about his experience:
“My music education at Concordia was so meaningful because of the dedication of the faculty to each student’s growth, the quality of the music making, the candor and loyalty of the students, the beauty of the campus, and the reward of the learning process that comes from well-structured courses.”
