You’re right. The ramifications of cutting music in the schools will have broad implications that will be experienced now and in the future. Not sure what it takes to get decision-makers to open their eyes to this, but it’s certainly worth the effort.

The cultural consequence is yet to be felt in full, but the beginning signs are alarming. No wonder Orchestras across the country struggle financially, and in attracting a younger generation.
